Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Amazon Web Services is Amazon's cloud platform, offering hundreds of services from servers and databases to queues, storage and AI models, billed per use.
What it means in practice
AWS pays off for heavy, steady workloads and for customers that require specific certifications, because paying AWS directly per unit beats the margin a managed platform adds. It has regions in Sydney and Melbourne.
The trade is ownership: someone has to configure and maintain networking, permissions, backups and monitoring, so Marshall Tech usually moves one workload at a time to AWS once the numbers justify it.
