Cloudflare
Cloudflare runs one of the world's largest networks, providing security, caching and a developer platform for running code (Workers), storing files (R2) and hosting databases (D1).
What it means in practice
Cloudflare charges nothing for data transfer out of Workers and R2, which makes it the cheapest home for media-heavy products and busy public APIs. Workers Paid starts at US$5 a month with 10 million requests included.
Marshall Tech puts Cloudflare in front of media-heavy commerce builds for exactly that reason.
Where this shows up in our work
We apply Cloudflare across these services when we build for Australian businesses.
